Alisa and John’s gorgeous DIY wedding is featured on Something Turquoise! I was so inspired by this wedding (and I’m not even engaged!) so go check out this post! Thanks so much to Jen at Something Turquoise for the beautiful feature.
We are Alison and Adm, and together, we photograph weddings.
You won’t find us directing shots, telling you what to do or where to look. But when you look at your pictures, at real moments, all the emotions from your wedding will come back to you, and really, wouldn’t that be the best way to re-live and share some of your favorite memories?
You'll be drawn to our work because of the moments and the stories. As trained photojournalists (we met in a newsroom), we use our sneaky photo ninja skills, combined with our love of art and design, to creatively document weddings as they naturally unfold. You’ll barely notice that we’re there.
Here’s a little bit more about us: we are both California natives. Alison is from LA and Adm grew up in a tiny town outside Yosemite, and we’ve loved living in Oakland for almost five years. Alison religiously listens to “This American Life” and loves to cook. Our weekly CSA veggie box is one of her favorite things. She also loves party dresses and bright colors, especially when they’re all mixed together. Adm, on the other hand, loves wearing jeans and black tees and road biking through the East Bay hills. We both love our dog Kiki, a rescue Shiba who enjoys a plush life bossing us around.
We are so excited that you’re checking us out and we would love to learn more about you! After all, it’s pretty important to make sure we get along if we’re going to spend one of the most important days of your life by your side.

My friend April lives across the street, and she is by far one of the most creative people I know. I’ve solicited her help on quite a number of wedding related projects – most recently, she helped me make the backdrop and animal faces for Liz and Darren’s photo booth (see below): While we were...

Over the weekend, we put up our first photo booth of the year for Liz and Darren’s wedding in Capitola. We did some things differently for their photo booth, which I’ll share in a later post, but for now, I wanted to post their movie. Make sure you watch through to the end so you...

How many times do you receive business cards and put them in your pocket only to find them crumpled and completely chewed up in the washing machine? Well, that’s happened to me so many times I’ve lost count. I am notorious for forgetting to empty my pockets before doing laundry. So, then, what’s the point...

Jaime and Bryan had a really lovely wedding right here in Oakland at the Montclair Women’s Art Club. They had lots of beautiful details including a paper flower wall, succulents in the flowers, and postcards of their favorite movies for table place cards. The Montclair Women’s Art Club was also fun to make photos in...
