What an incredible day Fenina and Hoang had. These are two of the sweetest and most genuine people we’ve met, and that fact was confirmed by all of their family and friends who were there to love and support them. We started the day with a traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony at Fenina’s mother’s home in San Ramon. When we arrived, the house was already filled with a flurry of people running around. Both Fenina and Hoang come from large families so the house was packed with all members of their bridal party entourage getting ready. With all of the faces, bright colors and amazing food that Hoang’s mother prepared (including a whole pig), we were in photo heaven.
Once the tea ceremony was over, Fenina changed into a traditional American dress – she looked so incredibly beautiful. She and Hoang were married at All Saints Catholic Church in Hayward, and their ceremony was filled with lots of emotion as they lovingly remembered Fenina’s father who passed away a few years ago. Immediately afterward, they released white doves on the church steps, another treat for the photographers in us.
Their reception was held at Castlewood Country Club in Pleasanton, and so once the party started, we tried to just disappear into the chaos. Overall, it was just a beautiful day with beautiful people!
